Selling & Letting Go
Find what to release, check resale value, and — when your library allows it — see where to buy or sell, all through outbound links.
Deaccession candidates
The Deaccession page is a collection-review aid, not a sales tool — it surfaces books worth reconsidering, grouped as Duplicates (titles you own more than one copy of — a spare copy is often the easiest thing to release) and Lowest-valued copies (based on your own owner-entered estimates, not appraisals). Each entry links to that book’s own page, where you can check its resale value. Open it from My Library → Library tools → Deaccession…, set apart at the bottom of the panel.
Sell or release (books you own)
An owned book’s detail page can show a "Sell or release" section with its condition and your estimated value alongside a button to check what resellers will pay — you complete the sale on the provider’s own site.
Once a copy has gone, remove it from the library with Remove from library (or Remove a copy), or several at once from the library page’s Select. Removed the wrong one? It can be restored from Library activity for 30 days, with its notes, photos and history; after that the copy is permanently deleted — the book’s shared catalogue entry stays. A copy that is out on loan has to be marked returned before it can be removed.
Shown only where your library has a resale/buyback provider enabled.
Buy elsewhere (books you don’t own)
On a book you don’t own, a "Buy on <seller>" button can appear, linking out to a bookseller’s own site.
Shown only where your library has a buy-elsewhere provider enabled.
Links-out only
AllMyBooks never sells, lists, or processes a payment inside the app. Every resale or buy-elsewhere button opens the provider’s own site in a new tab — the transaction always happens there, not here.
