Reading history

Mark the books you have read, and keep a private record of your reading.

Read status & reading history

Mark a book as read from its detail page — it’s a personal toggle ("Mark as read" / "Read — tap to unmark"), not something attributed to the shared catalog. Marking it read once is all most people ever need.

For more detail, open the "Reading history" panel under the toggle. There you can record one or more reading sessions per book — each with a status (Finished, Reading, or Dropped), an optional start and finish date, and, on a book you’re still reading, your current page or percent. To log a re-read, use "Add another read" — the quick toggle never creates a second session on its own. Your reading history is private to you: other members of the same library never see your sessions or dates.

Collection insights gathers this into a reading view: how many books you’ve finished per year, an anonymous Library-wide total across your library’s books, what you’re currently reading, and what you finished recently. It’s a plain summary — no goals, streaks, or targets.
