Description
From Library Journal
In his introduction to this collection of essays, many of which are reprinted from his syndicated column, drive-in movie critic Briggs claims that the essays are not "sensitive," sensitivity apparently being something that only applies to "modern weenie newspaper columnists." Unfortunately, these essays are also disappointing. While Briggs offers some amusing ideas--his sleaze meter along with his way of figuring out who should go to heaven and his Dueling Dimwits nominees--his less happy achievements strain for unorthodoxy but wind up sounding as if they were cut from the same bolt that other columnists regularly tailor. A "consider requests" item. - A.J Anderson, Graduate Sch. of Library & Information Copyright 1991 Reed Business Information, Inc.
