Description
The Ramones were one of the first bands responsible for punk - wearing torn jeans, black leather jackets and playing short, loud trashy rock'n'roll songs. This is Dee Dee Ramone's harrowing tale of 15 years of life on the road with the band. A story both tragic and comic, littered with many of the colourful characters that made up the New York Punk scene. Dee Dee lived the rock'n'roll lifestyle to the full, wrote the band's best songs and Sid Vicious openly modelled himself on him. Dee Dee Ramone has recently completed a UK tour promoting his new solo album and has appeared in the high profile publications Q, NME, Melody Maker and Record Collector.
